Misery Bay Nature Reserve is a Provincial Park located on
Manitoulin Island, in the Province of Ontario and lies off the
north shore of Lake Huron. The Friends of Misery Bay, FOMB, in
cooperation with Park’s Ontario, help preserve the park’s unique
natural features while providing opportunities for the public to
appreciate this beautiful setting, hike the well marked trails
and enjoy the interpretive information in the Centre building.
Government grant funds have been applied for to support two
positions for students during the coming summer and the Friends
of Misery Bay are looking for two enthusiastic and outgoing
individuals who are interested in the environment.
Position Title: Park Attendant (two positions) - For students
with an interest in the environment and a willingness to work
with and communicate with people.
General Description: Working at the Park Centre greeting
visitors and answering their questions; record keeping;
maintaining building; assisting with special events; maintaining
and patrolling trails.
Terms of Employment: Mon., June 28-Fri.,
Sept. 3, 2010 (10 weeks)
Salary: Anticipated, $11.50-$12.00 (depending on grant funding)
